FSU's Boyd and Hardy selected as GLIAC men's basketball players of the week

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 13 of the 2025-26 men's basketball season. Ferris State swept the awards, with sophomore forward Tae Boyd receiving GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition and junior center Owen Hardy earning GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tae Boyd, Ferris State
Ferris State University sophomore Tae Boyd averaged 24 points and five rebounds in two games this past week as the Bulldogs earned a key road split to remain in contention for a GLIAC Tourney berth. Boyd tallied 48 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while shooting 56.7% from the floor and going 10-of-13 (76.9%) at the line. The FSU standout tallied a team-high 26 points with six rebounds and three assists in Monday’s setback at Roosevelt before coming back with 24 points, four rebounds and two assists on Saturday in a 75-69 win at Saginaw Valley State.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Owen Hardy, Ferris State
Ferris State University junior center Owen Hardy had perhaps the biggest week of his Bulldog career, tallying 11.5 points and 15.0 rebounds with 3.0 blocks and 2.0 assists in a FSU road split. The 6-10 standout notched 23 points, 30 rebounds, six blocked shots and four assists in matchups versus Roosevelt and Saginaw Valley State. Hardy totaled 12 points, a career-high 18 rebounds and five blocks on Monday in a narrow road setback at Roosevelt before coming back to record 11 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and a block on Saturday in FSU’s 75-69 win at SVSU, helping keep the Bulldogs in contention for a potential GLIAC Tournament berth.
