The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its sixth weekly awards of the fall season for conference men's and women's golf teams. Ferris State's Ashley Thomasma and Davenport's Chen-Shiuan Wu were selected for honors.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Ashley Thomasma, Ferris State
Ferris State's Ashley Thomasma earned runner-up honors individually at the Panther Invitational, which wrapped up on Sunday (Oct. 18) at Stonehedge Golf Club in Augusta, Mich. Thomasma placed second in the 54-hole event with a two-over par total of 218 for the tourney. She finished behind only Paulina Marquez of Northwood, who notched a 214 total. Thomasma opened with a 72 before carding a 76 in round two and a final-round 70 effort. Her effort led the Bulldogs to a second-place team finish in the event with a 909 team figure.
GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Chen-Shiuan Wu, Davenport
Chen-Shiuan Wu led the Panthers to a 38-stroke winning margin over the weekend at the DU Invitational. He earned a share of the individual championship with Lewis' Jann Atendido after both golfers finished at one-under-par 212.
