SVSU's Bajis and DU's Wolter selected as GLIAC women's soccer players of the week

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 7 of the 2025 women's soccer season. Saginaw Valley State senior midfielder Madi Bajis was named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week while Davenport sophomore goalkeeper Elizabeth Wolter was honored as GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week. 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Madi Bajis, Saginaw Valley State
Madi Bajis scored three goals this weekend and totaled eight shots, three on goal. The senior midfielder has nine goals on the season, leading the GLIAC in scoring with three more than the next player. Bajis also has three assists for a total of 21 points, leading the GLIAC by eight.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Elizabeth Wolter, Davenport
Elizabeth Wolter, sophomore goalkeeper for the Davenport University women’s soccer team, earned GLIAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping the Panthers secure back-to-back shutout victories — a 2-0 win over Michigan Tech and a 1-0 victory against Northern Michigan. Wolter was a defensive anchor for the Panthers, facing a combined 29 shots and recording a perfect save percentage across the two matches. In the shutout over Northern Michigan alone, she tallied eight saves, including multiple stops on high-quality shot attempts to preserve the clean sheet.
