GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its awards following the 12th week of the 2026 baseball season. Davenport junior first baseman Aiden Warn was selected as GLIAC Player of the Week while Grand Valley State junior righthander Owen Avery was recognized as GLIAC Pitcher of the Week[
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Aiden Warn, Davenport
Davenport junior first baseman Aiden Warn went on a tear in the four-game sweep over Purdue Northwest going 8-for-12 at the plate with five runs scored, four doubles, two home runs, and five RBIs. Warn also walked three times and did not strikeout with a .733 on-base percentage. He homered in Friday's 5-4 win in the seventh inning going 2-for-3. He also went yard in game two on Saturday as part of the 9-5 victory.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Owen Avery, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State junior pitcher Owen Avery has been named the GLIAC Pitcher of the Week it was announced by the GLIAC office. Avery logged 6.0 shutout innings of two-hit baseball as GVSU captured the GLIA Regular Season Championship with a 2-0 win over Parkside. Avery, who struck out seven and did not allow a hit until the fourth inning, did not allow a base runner past second base. He is 8-1 on the year with a 2.44 ERA in 12 starts, ranking second in both categories in the GLIAC.
