WSU's Sanders and GVSU's Bradley selected as GLIAC baseball player and pitcher of the week

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of the 2025 baseball season Wayne State redshirt sophomore outfielder Caleb Sanders was named GLIAC Player of the Week while Grand Valley State junior righthander Collin Bradley was honored as GLIAC Pitcher of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Caleb Sanders, Wayne State
Redshirt sophomore Caleb Sanders (Eastpointe, Mich. / Detroit Edison Public School Academy [Dayton]) was named GLIAC Player of the Week for the first time in his career on Monday.  The honor comes after Sanders hit .600 (9-for-15) with a 1.617 OPS in five games last week including a pair of three-hit performances on Saturday and Sunday against Roosevelt.  The left fielder racked up six runs scored, three doubles, one triple, two RBI, 14 total bases, two walks, two hit-by-pitches, only one strikeout, two sacrifice hits, and three stolen bases in three attempts. Sanders is hitting .526 (10-for-19) during his current six-game hitting streak, which has raised his season average from .235 to .314.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Collin Bradley, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State junior pitcher Collin Bradley picked up the win over Saginaw Valley State in a key GLIAC series between two of the top teams. Bradley yielded two runs on one hit in 7.0 innings of work with seven strikeouts. After giving up a leadoff single and walking two batters, Bradley retired 19-of-20 batters, including 16 consecutive after the second inning. SVSU hit just .050 off Bradley for the game. Bradley is 3-2 on the year with a team-best 2.30 ERA. He has allowed just 11 earned runs in 43.0 innings with 35 strikeouts.
