GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of competition of the 2025-26 swimming & diving season. Saginaw Valley State sophomore Haydn Gould (men's swimming), Davenport sophomore Zofia Janaszek-Seydlitz (women's swimming), Davenport freshman Parker Schut (men's diving) and Saginaw Valley State freshman Layla Winklepeck (women's diving) were honored.
MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Haydn Gould, Saginaw Valley State
Haydn Gould was a member of the 400 medley relay team that broke the program record with a mark of 3:15.61. The sophomore also had NCAA B Cut times in the 100 backstroke (47.92) and the 200 IM (1:48.95), helping lead the team to their first-place finish.
WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Zofia Janaszek-Seydlitz, Davenport
Sophomore Zofia Janaszek-Seydlitz was a part of two relay wins at the Don Kimble Invite hosted by Davenport. The Panthers won the 200 medley in a time of 1:44.42 and the 400 medley in a time of 3:47.90. Zofia continued her strong performance in the 100 breast, where she set a school record at 1:02.76 to win the event and hit the NCAA "B" cut. She also won the 200 breast in a time of 2:17.84, which also hit the NCAA "B" cut.
MEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Parker Schut, Davenport
Freshman Parker Schut had a very successful meet at the Don Kimble Invite hosted by Davenport. Schut established a new school record in the 3-meter, 11-dives with a score of 451.05 and took first place. He also won the 1-meter, 11-dives competition with a score of 426.05.
WOMEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Layla Winklepleck, Saginaw Valley State
Layla Winklepleck took second and third in the dives over the weekend. The freshman placed second in the 1 meter dives with a score of 355.10 and third in the 3 meter dives with a score of 362.65.
