Wayne State University men’s and women’s cross country head coach, Grant Lofdahl, is entering his ninth season at the helm for the Green and Gold. Ahead of the 2025 campaign, the women’s squad received 80 votes and was picked third in the GLIAC Cross Country Preseason Poll. On the men’s side, the Warriors appear fourth after earning 53 points.
Before the GLIAC Championship in October, both the men’s and women’s teams will compete in five events, with the season beginning at the Hillsdale Invitational at Hayden Park on Friday, September 5, before WSU hosts its annual Warrior Challenge one week later (September 12) at Willow Metropark. The two squads will then travel to Kenosha, Wis., for Parkside’s Lucian Rosa Invitational on Saturday, September 27. Wayne State will next see action at the Jayhawk Invite (October 11) before closing the regular season at the SVSU Red October Meet on Friday,
October 17.
The women’s team will have three student-athletes that competed in last year’s Midwest Regional race, as Robin Bresolin (LaSalle, Ont.), Taylor Hopkins (Sanford, Mich.), and Aubrey Migoski (Wyandotte, Mich.) all return for the Warriors. In addition, seven more letterwinners will be competing in 2025 including a pair of two-time letterwinners in Rachel Felstow (Leonard, Mich.) and Sarah Greb (Washington, Mich.).
The 2025 squad will have six newcomers as Olivia Lincourt (Northville, Mich.) and Katie Rohrer (Charlevoix, Mich.) join WSU as transfers while Reese Hansen (Grand Rapids, Mich.), Chloe Josephson (Linden, Mich.), Ava Peters (Livonia, Mich.), and Kendall Sears (Napoleon, Ohio) are incoming freshmen.
