Head coach Scott Cook enters his 19th season leading the Panthers as the program looks to build on its strong 2024 campaign. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced Thursday that the men’s team has been picked No. 7 in the preseason poll, while the women’s team has been selected No. 8.
The Panthers welcome two newcomers to the roster, both on the women’s side: Britta Johnson and Adrianna Soria. An experienced group of 12 returners will lead the way, highlighted by Jordan Domany, Tyler Guggemos, and Kaylen Clark. Domany earned NCAA Division II USTFCCCA and All-GLIAC Second Team honors, along with CSC Academic All-District recognition. Guggemos and Clark aim to build on their success after gaining valuable experience throughout the 2024 season, competing in nearly every meet.
Last season, the men’s team placed 10th at the NCAA Midwest Regional, while the women’s program celebrated its first-ever national qualifier. The Panthers will look to add to those milestones with more top finishes in 2025.
Davenport opens the season at the Jeff Drenth Memorial, hosted by Central Michigan, on Aug. 29 at 11 a.m. The schedule also features meets at Calvin, Lansing, and Lewis before the GLIAC Championships on Oct. 25.
