GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of the 2025 tennis spring season. Davenport freshman Reuben Bakker and Grand Valley State freshman Kalomoira Ralli were selected for recognition.
MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Reuben Bakker, Davenport
Freshman Reuben Bakker (Randburg, South Africa) becomes the first Panther to receive this weekly award in over two years. He was able to pick up a win in singles and doubles on Saturday at Purdue Northwest. He needed three sets at the three spot against Daniel Chicano and won 7-6, 1-6, 10-7. He also picked up a doubles win with Simone Pacciolla 6-2 at the one spot against Alex Van Lumich and Sam Dickson of the Pride. Reuben has a total of 10 singles wins and 11 doubles wins this season for the Panthers.
WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kalomoira Ralli, Grand Valley State
Freshman Kalomoira Ralli has been named the GLIAC women's tennis player of the week for the first time in her collegiate career. Ralli earned wins in singles and doubles action against Division I opponent UIC last Friday. She claimed a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 three-set win at No. 6 singles and a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles alongside Ipek Sakiroglu. Ralli is 6-1 in singles play this season with a 5-1 record at the No. 6 position and a 1-0 record at the No. 5 position. In doubles, Ralli has posted a 7-2 record all from the No. 3 position.
