GLIAC -- Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Commissioner Kris Dunbar announced on Thursday that Sean Massa has been appointed as the league's Director of Video Operations and Multimedia.
“We’re excited to welcome Sean to the conference office staff,” said Dunbar. “His eagerness to learn and his creative and innovative approach will strengthen our team and help to continue to elevate the quality of our content and storytelling.”
Massa comes to the GLIAC from Madonna University in Livonia, Mich., his hometown. Since May 2025, Massa has served as the Director of Broadcasting & Digital Media, overseeing all aspects of live game coverage, multimedia production and digital storytelling. In addition, he managed the athletic department's advertising and commercial rights.
“From my first days in collegiate athletics, I’ve always believed in the power of great storytelling," said Massa. "Joining the GLIAC is an incredible step in that journey, and I’m excited to build on the conference’s strong foundation while bringing fresh ideas to our multimedia efforts.”
Massa previously held the position of Assistant Sports Information and Head of Broadcasting at Madonna for a year and a half. He also spent four years as a student broadcaster for Madonna Athletics before stepping into a professional role with the department.
Massa has a background that also includes work on the broadcast team for the U.S. National Team Development Program (USNTDP), The Keene SwampBats and ESPN, through which he gained extensive experience in play-by-play, color commentary, and behind-the-scenes production.
Massa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from Madonna University.
