GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the seventh week of competition of the 2025-26 swimming & diving season. St. Cloud State junior Piotr Kowalczyk (men's swimming) and Jimmy Nord (men's diving) were honored.
MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Piotr Kowalczyk, St. Cloud State
Kowalcyk competed in seven events and earned five event wins in dual victories over Eau Claire on Friday and Saint John’s on Saturday. On Friday, finished first in the 100-yard backstroke (52.93), swam first leg of 200-yard medley relay (1:31.12) and anchor leg of 200-yard freestyle relay (1:22.22) teams that both finished first. On Saturday, earned event wins in the 100-yard butterfly (52.93) and 100-yard backstroke (51.75).
MEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Jimmy Nord, St. Cloud State
Nord earned three event wins and one second place finish in dual victories over Eau Claire on Friday and Saint John’s on Saturday. On Friday, finished first in the 1-meter dive (284.50) and second in the 3-meter dive. On Saturday, finished first in both the 1-meter dive (303.10) and 3-meter dive (299.20).
