GLIAC — Ferris State's Kamryn Shannon has been honored as Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Golf Player of the Year.
Grand Valley State's June Hsiao, who also earned First Team All-GLIAC honors, received freshman of the year honors.
Ferris State head coach Sam Stark was named conference coach of the year after leading the Bulldogs to the 2026 title.

2026 GLIAC PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Kamryn Shannon, Ferris State
Ferris State University senior standout Kamryn Shannon led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Division II National Championships for the second consecutive year and the 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship. Shannon earned medalist honors at the league championships and went on to place tied for 14th overall at the NCAA D2 East Regional Championships, helping the Bulldogs earn a trip to nationals with a third-place team finish. This year, she claimed All-GLIAC First Team honors for the third year in a row and became a four-time all-conference choice. She also was tabbed as the GLIAC Player of the Week three times this season.
2026 GLIAC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR
June Hsiao, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State’s June Hsiao has been named the GLIAC Freshman Women’s Golfer of the Year. She is the 13th player in program history to earn the honor. She had an average score of 76 per round, carding a low round of 70. She had six rounds of par or better, making 48 birdies in her rounds. Claiming five top 10 finishes this season, winning the Warrior Invitational. Hsiao is currently ranked as the 80th best golfer in the country.
2026 GLIAC COACH OF THE YEAR
Sam Stark, Ferris State
Ferris State University women's golf head coach Sam Stark guided the Bulldogs to the 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship and a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championships for the second consecutive year. This season, the Bulldogs also took third place at the NCAA D2 East Regional Championships. Ferris State reached the NCAA Tourney for the fifth-straight year under his direction. FSU finished among the top five teams in 10 different tournaments this year, including winning the head-to-head championship in the GLIAC for the second time in the last four years following a second-place stroke play finish at the event.
