GLIAC Football Gameday >> Week 9

Halloween brings more than just tricks and treats to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) this Saturday, as conference football teams take the field for another pivotal weekend of action. With the calendar turning toward November and the race for the GLIAC title nearing the finish line, there's plenty at stake across the conference.

All eyes will be on Big Rapids Saturday, as No. 1 Ferris State (8-0, 4-0 GLIAC) hosts No. 9 Davenport (8-0, 4-0 GLIAC) in a top-10 showdown with national implications. The Calder City Classic is set for a 1 p.m. kick off at Top Taggart Field.

The Bulldogs have won 38-straight games and hold a 10-0 advantage in the all-time series with the Panthers. DU will lean on star running back Cephus Harris, who leads the nation in rushing yards (1,587) and rushing touchdowns (21).

No. 15 Michigan Tech (6-2, 3-1 GLIAC) will look to keep its postseason hopes alive when it travels to meet Saginaw Valley State (4-4, 2-2 GLIAC) for a 2 p.m. game at Wickes Memorial Stadium.

Three of the GLIAC's top receiving threats will be on the field in University Center. The Huskies No. 1 receiver Abram Larner (39 rec., 604 yards, 8 TDs) will square off against the Cardinals JT Webber (24 rec., 654 yards, 4 TDs) and Braden Hill (21 rec., 419 yards, 8 TDs).

No. 25 Grand Valley State (5-3, 1-3 GLIAC) takes to the road to clash with Roosevelt (5-3, 1-3 GLIAC) under the lights of Morris Field in Arlington Heights, Ill. Game time is set for 7 p.m. ET.

The Lakers offense features the conference's top passer in Andrew Schuster (1,934 yards, 26 TDs) and top receiver in Kellen Reed (60 rec., 1,065 yards, 18 TDs). The Roosevelt defense counters with two of the GLIAC's most prolific tacklers, Stacey Terry and Brandon Harvey, who have combined for 146 stops in 2026.

Northern Michigan (1-7, 1-3 GLIAC) and Wayne State (0-8, 0-4 GLIAC) will face off at 1 p.m. at Tom Adams Field in Detroit.
