PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The nation's top-ranked Ferris State Bulldogs rolled to a 63-6 road victory over the Lake Erie Storm on Saturday (Sept. 6) at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium in Painesville, Ohio.

The Bulldogs built a 42-6 halftime lead and cruised to the win. FSU rolled up 625 yards of total offense and limited Lake Erie to only 126 yards overall.

No. 3 Grand Valley State 48, Black Hills State 36

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- #3 Grand Valley State claimed a 48-36 non-conference home victory over Black Hills State Saturday night at Lubbers Stadium before a crowd of 13,836. The Lakers improve to 2-0 and will hit the road for a non-conference game at Pittsburg State Saturday, Sept. 13. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET.

Saginaw Valley State 49, Gannon 28

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University football team scored seven times in a 49-28 victory over Gannon on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals (1-1) totaled almost 500 total yards of offense, including 287 yards on the ground with six scores from four different ball carriers.


"The offensive line was fantastic, blocking and protection. Just an outstanding job by that group," said head coach Ryan Brady. "We have a lot of playmakers and a lot of weapons, and we were able to spread it around and keep Gannon off balance."

. – The Michigan Tech football team once again used a full team effort to bask in victory with a 45-9 decision on the road over South Dakota Mine at O'Harra Stadium on a windy Thursday evening.

"I thought we did a lot of things well," said Tech head coach Dan Mettlach. "Getting up 14-0 you'd like to stay on the gas at that point and I thought it could've been 28-0 going into halftime but overall I like how the guys played. We know we've got some young guys, but we also know the expectations and we'll get things fixed."
