PNW's Hernandez and GVSU's Ingram awarded GLIAC softball player and pitcher of the week honors

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the 11th week of the 2025 softball season. Purdue Northwest junior catcher Olivia Hernandez was selected as GLIAC Player of the Week while Grand Valley State junior righthander Nevaeh Ingram was named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Olivia Hernandez, Purdue Northwest
Purdue Northwest Softball junior Olivia Hernandez finished the season red hot and helping the Pride end 3-1 in the GLIAC over the weekend. She went 9-of-12 at the plate with an incredible .750 batting average in that stretch. She tallied four doubles, one homerun, three runs, and nine RBIs at the plate proving to be one of the top hitters in the GLIAC. In Game 2 against #24 Saginaw Valley State, she went 2-of-2 and against Wayne State she went a perfect 6-for-6 at plate. Hernandez ranks second in the GLIAC in batting average, top ten in slugging percentage and top ten in RBIs. 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Nevaeh Ingram, Grand Valley State
Junior pitcher Nevaeh Ingram has been named the GLIAC Pitcher of the Week for the first time this season. Ingram posted a 2-0 record in the circle tossing two complete game shutouts against Saginaw Valley State and Wayne State. Ingram struck out three batters and allowed just one hit in the 10-0 mercy rule win in five innings against Saginaw Valley State. She followed that by throwing seven scoreless innings allowing just four hits in the 3-0 win over Wayne State. Ingram has not allowed a run in three consecutive appearances in the circle and finished the regular season with a 2.61 ERA and 14-8 record in the circle.
