2025 All-GLIAC Women's Lacrosse teams announced

GLIAC — The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its 2025 All-GLIAC Women's Lacrosse teams on Friday, following the first semifinal game of the league's postseason tournament. Awards were determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.

Northern Michigan's Josie Lakosky, the 2024 GLIAC Freshman of the Year, earned GLIAC Attacker of the Year. Concordia-St. Paul's Susie Monson received midfielder of the year recognition and Claire Flahaven was named defender of the year. Freshman of the Year honors went to Bears' goalkeeper Katie Colleran. 

CSP's Alison Jennings claimed GLIAC Coach of the Year honors after leading the Bears to their best-ever conference record. 

Regular season GLIAC champion Grand Valley State received one award, as junior Sarah Krause was honored as GLIAC Goalkeeper of the Year.


2025 GLIAC ATTACKER OF THE YEAR
Josie Lakosky, Northern Michigan
After being named the 2024 GLIAC Freshman of the Year, the Victoria, Minnesota native Josie Lakosky has been named the 2025 GLIAC Attacker of the Year. The sophomore is having a record-breaking season for the Wildcats, setting career-highs in almost every statistical category in fewer games played, and breaking the NMU single-game point record twice in a three-game stretch. The attacker earned GLIAC weekly honors four times this season and was named the IWLCA National Co-Offensive Player of the Week thanks to her 13-point outing, which ranks sixth nationally and just two points behind the highest single-game point total in all of DII women’s lacrosse this year. Across all competitions this season, Lakosky paced the conference in goals (66), goals per game (3.88), points (85), points per game (5.00), shots (161), shots per game (9.47), is second in draw controls (75) and draw controls per game (4.41), and is third in total assists (19). Among conference-only statistics, Lakosky led the GLIAC in goals per game (3.63), shots (87), and shots per game (10.88). Lakosky can also be found atop multiple categories in single-game highs across the conference, including the two highest single-game point totals, eight of the top ten single game shot totals, four of the top six single-game goals, and the most assists in a single game.
2025 GLIAC MIDFIELDER OF THE YEAR
Susie Monson, Concordia-St. Paul

Susie Monson becomes the first GLIAC Midfielder of the Year in program history after finishing the regular-season with 31 goals and 28 assists, becoming the Golden Bears' all-time career leader in assists. Monson was named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week two times this season after posting back-to-back five goal weeks. She has been pivotal in guiding the Golden Bears to their best conference finish all-time and has continued to lead the GLIAC in draw controls per game through the entirety of the season. 
2025 GLIAC DEFENDER OF THE YEAR
Claire Flahaven, Concordia-St. Paul
Claire Flahaven becomes the first GLIAC Defender of the Year in program history after accumulating 25 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers on the season. Flahaven has been a mainstay for the Golden Bears on defense while also racking up 31 draw controls to help get the Golden Bears to their best conference finish all-time. 
2025 GLIAC GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR
Sarah Krause, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State junior goalkeeper Sarah Krause was named the GLIAC Goalkeeper of the Year. Krause led the GLIAC with a .548 save percentage, posting a league-best 7.26 goals against average. She totaled 69 saves and 30 ground balls, facing 235 shots on the year. The Severna Park, Maryland native, recorded seven games of allowing three or fewer goals, including five games allowing just one goal against. She notched seven games with five or more saves, with a season-high nine versus Northern Michigan. The one-time GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week tallied the 100th save ofher career earlier this season.
2025 GLIAC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR
Katie Colleran, Concordia-St. Paul
Katie Colleran becomes just the second Golden Bear to earn GLIAC Freshman of the Year after an astonishing freshman campaign. Colleran earned her first GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week this season and was named the IWLCA Goalkeeper of the Week after making 11 crucial saves in a victory over NMU. She has put up 93 saves and a .500 save percentage to become one of the most influential goalies for the Navy and Gold in season history and currently ranks fifth in NCAA DII in save percentage and sixth in ground balls per game with 4.38. 
2025 GLIAC COACH OF THE YEAR
Alison Jennings, Concordia-St . Paul
Alison Jennings earns her second GLIAC Coach of the Year accolade after leading the Golden Bears to their best conference finish all-time and best overall record since 2022. Jennings led a team that saw eight All-Conference players including the first ever Midfielder and Defender of the Year and the second ever Freshman of the Year. As a team, the Navy and Gold produced a 3-0 start to the season, one of two three-game winning streaks and finished 5-2 on their home turf.
