Four GLIAC teams headed to the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS -- Four GLIAC teams -- Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech, Ferris State and Northern Michigan -- are among the field of 64 that will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship, the NCAA Division II Men’s Committee announced late on Sunday evening.

Hosted by No. 1 seed Missouri S&T, all Midwest Region first round games will be played on Saturday, March 15 in Springfield, Ill. 

Lake Superior State (27-6) was awarded the Midwest Region's No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 Lincoln (Mo.) (23-8) at 3:30 p.m. ET.

GLIAC regular season champion Michigan Tech (23-7) earned the No. 3 seed and will meet GLIAC Tournament champion No. 6 Northern Michigan (22-9) at 1 p.m. ET. The Wildcats defeated the Huskies in a one-point thriller in the conference tournament semifinals.

Ferris State (25-8) received the Midwest Region's No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 seed UMSL (19-11) at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The regional semifinals will take place on Sunday, March 16, with the championship game scheduled for Tuesday, March 18.
