INDIANAPOLIS -- Three GLIAC teams -- Grand Valley State, Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan -- are among the field of 64 that will compete in the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship, the NCAA Division II Men’s Committee announced late on Sunday evening.
Hosted by No. 1 seed Walsh (27-3), all Midwest Region first round games will be played on Saturday, March 14 in North Canton, Ohio.
GLIAC Tournament champion Grand Valley State (25-6) was awarded the Midwest Region's No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 Ashland (20-10) at 2:30 p.m.
GLIAC regular season co-champion Michigan Tech (26-6) earned the No. 3 seed and will meet No. 6 Lake Erie (23-8) at 12 p.m.
Northern Michigan (27-6), who captured the other share of the GLIAC regular season title, received the Midwest Region's No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 seed Rockhurst (23-6) at 7:30 p.m.
The regional semifinals will take place on Sunday, March 15, with the championship game scheduled for Tuesday, March 17.
