BAY CITY, Mich. - Grand Valley State University senior forward Briauna Taylor (Livonia, Mich.) and Ohio Dominican University sophomore guard Kacee Hockenberry (Haviland, Ohio) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.
GLIAC North Division Player of the Week:

5-9, Senior, Forward
Grand Valley State University senior Briauna Taylor averaged 19.5 points in two games while leading the Lakers to a 3-0 start to the season. Taylor was named the Firebird Classic MVP after recording double-doubles in both games. Against host school District of Columbia, Taylor had 16 points and 10 rebounds along with a team-high seven assists. The senior also tallied two steals and two blocks as well. Against Bowie State (Md.), Taylor notched 23 points and 11 rebounds. Taylor now owns 11 career double-doubles.

Ohio Dominican University sophomore Kacee Hockenberry delivered a pair of game-winning baskets to help lift ODU to a 3-0 start. ODU trailed by one point against both Salem International (W.V.) and Urbana (Ohio) this week with less than 30 seconds to play before Hockenberry's heroics. She averaged 11.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game on week. Hockenberry has scored in double figures in all three games and has helped ODU win eight straight non-conference games.
