Grand Valley State earns 32nd GLIAC Presidents' Trophy

2025-26 GLIAC Presidents' Trophy Final Standings

GLIAC -- The 2025-26 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) competition year is complete and the final standings of the annual Presidents' Trophy have been tabulated. The Grand Valley State Lakers have captured their 32nd GLIAC Presidents' Trophy and are positioned atop the conference standings for the 27th consecutive season.

Grand Valley State finished with 165 total points, led by a conference-best 93.5 points from its women’s teams and 71.5 from the men’s squads.

Saginaw Valley State earned its fifth-consecutive runner-up finish with 110.5 points, ahead of Wayne State in third with 100 points and Ferris State with 96.5. Davenport placed fifth with an 87-point total, followed by Northern Michigan (83), Parkside (82), Michigan Tech (54), Purdue Northwest (53.5), Lake Superior State (31.5) and Roosevelt (27.5).  

The GLIAC Presidents' Trophy standings are based on final regular season standings except for the following sports that are based on conference tournament finish: cross country, golf, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field, swimming & diving.

The Presidents' Trophy is awarded at the end of each year of competition to the conference member having demonstrated general excellence in all or most sports. The award is designed to promote well-rounded athletic programs within each member institution.
