GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 12 of the 2025-26 women's basketball season. Roosevelt junior guard Marie Outlay was honored as GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week while sophomore guard Kendall Standfest received GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Marie Outlay, Roosevelt
Marie Outlay earned her third weekly award of the season after being named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week. The junior from Wisconsin has been honored twice for her defense, but Outlay came up big to help the Lakers beat Parkside in their only game of the week. Outlay scored 15 second-half points to finish with 21 on the night and also added 10 rebounds, four of which came on the offensive end. She made 5 of 6 from the free-throw line in the final 22 seconds to secure the victory, grabbing her only miss for the rebound that secured her a double-double.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kendall Standfest, Michigan Tech
For the second time this season, Michigan Tech women’s basketball sophomore guard Kendall Standfest has been named the GLIAC’s Defensive Player of the Week for Week 11. Standfest, the pride of Elk Rapids, Michigan, averaged a double-double of 21 points and 11.5 rebounds to go with 4.5 assists, 1.5 steals and a block to propel the Huskies to their GLIAC weekend sweep of the season, recording the highest-scoring win in league play on Thursday with a 89-76 victory over Lake Superior State before closing the weekend with a 68-67 decision against Saginaw Valley State to also complete two series sweeps. Standfest recorded career-highs in points (26), rebounds (17) and assists (7), adding two steals and a block in Thursday's win, before recording 16 points, a team-high six rebounds, a block and a steal in Saturday's victory.
