2025-26 Ferris State Men's Basketball Season Preview

A new chapter of Ferris State University men's basketball begins this season in 2025-26 as interim head coach Alex Fodness takes over the FSU program.

The Bulldogs welcome back eight squad members from a year ago and have added eight newcomers, including six transfers who are expected to play key roles.

FSU's top returnees include veteran forward Mykel Bingham and returning letterwinners Tyler Hamilton and Donovan Brown-Boyd along with Brandon Claerbaut, who all saw action a year ago. Two incoming freshmen, Elijah Langston and Keashaun Johnson, both from Muskegon, have also been added to the mix along with redshirt freshmen Quron Williams and Carter Meerman.

The Bulldogs will host Calvin University in exhibition play on Wednesday, Oct. 29, with tipoff set for 7 p.m. (ET) inside Jim Wink Arena. FSU opens regular-season play at the GLIAC/G-MAC Crossover on Nov. 14-15 in Midland.

The Ferris State men's basketball program has a long track record of success that includes more than 1,300 all-time victories, 17 GLIAC Championships and 18 NCAA Tournament appearances along with a national championship in 2018.

Since 2004, the Bulldogs have reached the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen five times and won 13 GLIAC regular season or tourney titles. FSU reached the NCAA Tournament for the ninth time in the last 11 years last season and won 20 games or more for the 10th-straight full season.
