The Rangers enter the 2024-25 season after a 13-16 overall record and an 8-10 GLIAC record. Parkside would finish their season in the GLIAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed in an opening round exit.
Luke Reigel returns for his 22nd season at the helm of the Rangers. Reigel holds an all-time record of 310-281 in his career. Under the direction of the tenured coach the Rangers have reached the NCAA Tournament seven times and have finished first in the GLIAC twice.
The Rangers return nine players back from the 2023-24 roster with the likes of graduate student Nick Brown and junior Ethan Ivan. The biggest piece back for the Rangers is redshirt senior Josiah Palmer who was selected Preseason All-GLAIC Second Team. Palmer had himself a stellar year last season, averaging career bests in points per game at 14.9 and in assists per game at 4.9.
Parkside is set to open their season at the Conference Crossover where they will play two games with Upper Iowa and University of Illinois-Springfield on the slate. They will then play four non-conference games before opening GLIAC play up in the Upper Peninsula against Michigan Tech on December 5th.
