GLIAC Announces Winter 2010 Commissioner's Award Recipients

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the recipients of the Winter 2010 GLIAC Commissioner’s Awards. The awards, sponsored by Meijer, Incorporated, are presented after the Fall,Winter, and Spring athletic seasons to six male and six female student-athletes that excel both in the classroom and on the fields of play.

Bay City, Mich.--The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced today the Winter2010 All-Academic Teams. 495 student-athletes from 14 institutions were honored in the following sports; men and women's basketball, men and women's swimming and diving and men and women's indoor track and field. To be eligible for all-academic status, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0, on a 4.0 scale, and must not be a freshman or first year transfer.
