Swimming & Diving National Qualifiers3/9/10 Bay City, Mich.--The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) will be well represented this week in Canton, Ohio for the 2010 Division II Swimming & Diving National Championship. The event will run from March 10-13, 2010 and will be hosted by Lock Haven University. Seven schools are being represented including, Ashland, Findlay, Grand Valley State, Hillsdale, Indianapolis, Lewis, and Wayne State. 101 student-athletes will compete in 21 events. Trials will begin each day at 10:30 am and finals will start at 6:00pm. |

Lewis' Coates Named GLIAC Men's Swimming & Diving "Athlete of the Year"2/17/10 Bay City, Mich.--Lewis University's Kevin Coates (Louisville, Ky./Ballard) was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's swimming and diving athlete of the year and Wayne State University's Joaquin Abascal Gallegos (Madrid, Spain/IES Ortega y Gasset) received freshman of the year honors and Paul Graham of Ashland was tabbed as coach of the year. |
