Offensive Player Of The Week
Aaron Waldie - Hillsdale
(JR, WR, 5-10, 172, Sylvania, Ohio/Southview)

  Junior wide receiver Aaron Waldie had a record-setting day for Hillsdale in its 45-7 win over Findlay. Waldie caught eight passes for 148 yards and a school-record five touchdowns. His five TD catches set a single-game record, and gave him the single-season mark of 17 touchdown catches this season. Waldie also set a single-season school record in receiving yards in the game, with his 148 giving him 1,106 for the season.

Derek Volmering - Saginaw Valley State
(SR, LB, 5-11, 230, Harbor Beach, Mich.)
  Senior linebacker Derek Volmering led the Cardinals defense with 18 tackles in the 21-3 loss to #1 Grand Valley State on Saturday. He had nine solo tackles and one tackle for loss against the GLIAC’s second-ranked scoring offense. He helped hold GVSU to its lowest offensive output of the season with 21 points and the Lakers’ second-lowest rushing yardage total (186 yards). Volmering leads the GLIAC with 11.8 tackles per game this season.

(JR, K/PK, 6-1, 213, Goshen, Ind.)
  FSU junior kicker/punter Jim Yates played a key role in the Bulldogs’ 48-41 triumph over Northwood Saturday. Yates drilled a game-tying 28-yard field goal with only 14 seconds left in regulation to send the contest into overtime. He also made a 34-yard field goal in the opening quarter and converted all six of his PAT attempts. Yates also punted four times for 120 yards.
